Receiving an “Exit All Other Applications” error when playing videos This error affects a few users due to Microsoft Media Player’s installation process. If this error is received, please choose to “Ignore” or “Return to Page” to continue with the installation of the Logitech Composer software. The skip forward/backward buttons in Logitech Player are grayed-out, but appear after some of the video has played back Windows Media Player controls the internal buffering of videos for playing. If a slower connection is used, the video will take longer to buffer enough to allow control of the video to appear. Faster connections should not experience this problem since the buffering will occur very quickly. Trying to record or edit a long video (over a minute) will cause Netscape Navigator 4.77 to close. This is an intermittent problem. Please reopen the browser and try recording a smaller video. If the problem persists, you may need to reboot. During video playback, the video freezes when buffering This is a problem associated with outdated software. Please try updating Microsoft Media Player to the newest version available. Updates for Microsoft Media Player are available at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/en/download/default.asp The video and audio are not perfectly synchronized when recording This occurs with the Microsoft Windows ME operating system for some users. We are working on the problem and will post additional information when available. When starting and stopping the recording of a video, an error message is received When you start and stop video recording quickly (one or two seconds), the video file that is created is not complete, therefore corrupted. This is not an issue if you record a few seconds before stopping. First few seconds of video may have “off” brightness or color balance Some PC cameras need the first few seconds to adjust the video. We recommend starting the recording and then waiting a couple of seconds before beginning the message. Then you can edit out the first few seconds of the video before sending. Received the error "Composer Error: Unable to record clip. Verify your camera is still plugged in and working properly, and that you have enough disk space." This is an intermittent problem with Logitech Express and older models of the Logitech QuickCam Pro (white body, no built-in microphone, snapshot bulletin or visor). The video is available up to the time the error message occurred. It should still be available to edit and send as normal. My web browser fails to download and install the Logitech Composer Currently, the Logitech Composer software is designed for Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 (and greater) and Netscape Navigator 4.7x products. No other web browsers are supported at this time. Received the error "Netscape has caused an error in JRT3240.DLL…” after uploading the video This is an intermittent problem with the Netscape Navigator browser due to the .DLL file mentioned in the error message. Please close the browser and attempt the upload again. Received an error regarding “msjava.dll” during initialization of Logitech Composer This mainly occurs for users of Netscape Navigator on Microsoft Windows 98 (first edition). It is recommended to get the latest updates from Microsoft Windows Update, including the “Critical Update Package” located at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.asp? You should also make sure that the latest version of Netscape Navigator is used. |
