Importing video
If you already have a digitized video (in AVI format) on your hard drive, you can import it by clicking the on the Logitech Composer. In the dialog box that appears, select the video file from its location. You can also import for a video already hosted on the Web that you save to your hard drive -- just remember not to break copyright laws while saving content from the Web.

Standard camcorder
You can use a standard camcorder (VHS, 8mm, VHS-C, etc.) and tools such as Digital Video Creator (i.e., Dazzle) or a video capture card (sold at most electronics stores) together to capture and digitize clips of taped video. Record the video with the camera as usual, and then use the capture device to upload the selected video clip to your computer's hard drive. Save the video clip in the .avi format and it is ready to be imported by clicking the (show icon) on the Logitech Composer. In the dialog box that appears, select the video file from its location.

You can also use a service like YesVideo (www.yesvideo.com) or LifeClips (www.lifeclips.com) to convert your videotape to digital format.

Digital camcorder
Create the video and upload it to your computer's hard drive using the software that came with your camera. Save the video clip in the .avi format, and it is ready to be imported by clicking the on the Logitech Composer. In the dialog box that appears, select the video file from its location.

PC video camera
Create the video, and then save it to your computer's hard drive using the software that came with your camera. The video will now be in .avi format, and is ready to be imported by clicking the on the Logitech Composer. In the dialog box that appears, select the video file from its location.
